Facebook Messenger

Let your AI agent respond to Messenger conversations on your Facebook Page.

Requirements

  • A Facebook Page you administer.
  • Your Komplian plan must include connected channels.

Setup

  1. Go to Integrations → Facebook Messenger and click Connect.
  2. Authorize Komplian through Facebook/Meta OAuth.
  3. If you manage more than one Page, select the Page that should receive Messenger conversations.

The same Facebook Page can also be connected as Instagram. Messenger and Instagram are separate Komplian channels and each counts toward your plan.

Features

  • Auto-reply: The AI answers Messenger chats using your knowledge base.
  • Unified inbox: Conversations appear in Inbox next to widget, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Slack.
  • Human handoff: Taking over in Inbox pauses the AI for that visitor. Agent replies are sent back to Messenger while the 24-hour window is open.
  • Flows: Use the Send Messenger action with a Messenger template to reply from automations.

Messaging window

Facebook only allows free-form Page replies within 24 hours of the visitor's last message. Outside that window, Inbox and flows skip or fail instead of sending a message that Meta would silently drop.
