Cash
Count the drawer at the end of the day and compare it with the cash your POS says came in.
One close per day
Hospitality → Analytics → Cash has one cash close per day. The arrows on either side of Today move to other days. Open the day to compare what the POS says came in with what is in the drawer.
Expected cash and card
The expected cash and card amounts are the sum of every confirmed POS end-of-day report of that date: lunch and dinner, and every till. When another report of the same day is confirmed in End of day, the expected amounts are read again automatically.
You can type the expected amounts by hand, for example when there is no report yet. From then on they no longer update on their own. Select Read again from the POS to go back to the amounts of the confirmed reports.
Count the drawer
Enter the opening float and the cash you counted in the drawer. Add what was paid from the drawer during the day, each expense with its concept, and what was taken to the bank. Finally, enter the float left for tomorrow.
The difference
Komplian shows whether the cash adds up, is over or is short:
Difference = counted − (opening float + expected cash − paid from the drawer − taken to the bank)
The float left for tomorrow is what stays in the drawer for the next day. It comes out of what you counted, so it is not part of the difference.
Close the day
When the count is done, select Close the day. The difference is frozen and the day becomes read only. Resolve pending connected collections first: an unresolved attempt prevents closure. Provider confirmations retain their original business day, and exceptions remain available in payment reconciliation.
