End of day

Photograph the POS end-of-day report and let Komplian deduct what was sold.

Works with any POS

Komplian does not need to connect to your point of sale. At the end of the day, print or open the sales report your POS already produces, usually called the Z report or end-of-day report, and bring it to Komplian.

Upload the report

Open Hospitality → Analytics → Closes and choose how to add the day:

  • Photo of the printed report, taken with your phone.
  • PDF exported by the POS.
  • CSV with name, quantity and amount for each product.
  • By hand, when there is nothing to upload.

Komplian reads the date, the totals, the payment methods and each product line, and matches every line to a dish or item on your menu.

Review and confirm

The report stays in review until you confirm it. Lines that could not be matched are highlighted: pick the dish they belong to and Komplian remembers the POS name for next time. When you confirm, the ingredients of each dish sold are deducted from stock. Items sold as they are, like a bottle of wine, are deducted directly.

Only confirmed reports count in your reports and food cost. A report you have not reviewed changes nothing.

Several reports for one day

If you confirm a report for a date that already has a confirmed one, Komplian asks whether it is another shift or till. If it is, confirm it and it is added to that day’s sales. If it is the same report uploaded twice, do not confirm it.

Cash

To count the drawer and close the day’s cash, see Cash.

Komplian reads your POS reports to manage stock and costs. It does not issue tickets or invoices and it does not replace your POS or your obligations with it.
